Project Description

Gaetano Squadrito

M Phty, M Ex Sci (Sp Pfrm), Bach Ex Sci
(Sydney CBD)

Having worked as a Junior Acrobatics, Gymnastics and Football coach for a few years, Gaetano graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy from Sydney University in 2012.
Before joining the CBD Physiotherapy team in 2016, he worked as an acute rehabilitation physiotherapist for patients post orthopaedic, cardiac and general surgeries.
Over the years Gaetano began to develop interests in rehabilitation of amputees and orthopaedic patients, which led him into an outpatient musculoskeletal physiotherapy role.
This is where he was able to draw on his true passion for sports and practice complex rehabilitation of patients returning back to every-day life or sport.

Gaetano’s advanced study of Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology and Sports Performance has allowed him to look at injuries and pain in different ways than others. Specifically, breaking down movement patterns and the mechanisms of injury, treating the underlying root cause, and giving his patient’s a clear understanding of their issues and goals are key areas to his effectiveness.

Gaetano has worked with a wide range of semi-professional runners, footballers, cyclers and gymnasts, and works closely with their coaching and support staff to return them back to their sport in a timely manner. As a Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach and a registered GEMt Dry Needling Practitioner, Gaetano uses both manual therapies and exercise-based training to return his patients back to full function. Just don’t get him talking about his beloved Chelsea FC, he tends to get a little emotional and loses track of time.
